Supporting young people with additional needs: A Sitra and St Basils joint conference

As part of the Autumn and winter conference season 2010, Sitra and St Basils have joined together to bring you this conference, aimed at housing support providers working or planning to work with young people, local authority commissioners of housing support and young people's services, and young clients.

This conference will look at the range of services needed by young people with disability, mental health or substance misuse issues; those with complex trauma; young Gypsies and Travellers; and young parents. Download leaflet here

 



Spending Review 2011/15

Sitra has produced a joint submission to the Coalition's four-year spending review with Homeless Link and the National Housing Federation. The submission calls for spending on Supporting People to be maintained and also covers Homelessness Grant, Places of Change, benefit reforms, health and capital investment.

With the current regulatory guidance for housing care and support emphasising the importance and value of involving clients in decision making and the operation of services, we are running a new course specifically for clients on becoming a peer assessor. Several of our new courses are also being co-facilitated by service users.
